The Apple TV 4K is one of the smoothest IPTV boxes you can buy: fast, quiet and updated for years. The catch is the app choice; there is no TiviMate and no sideloading. The tvOS players below are all good, though.

Setup the quick way
- Install the app from the App Store on the Apple TV.
- When the login screen appears, your iPhone shows a keyboard notification. Type or paste the server, username and password there instead of using the remote.
- Choose Xtream Codes where offered; the TV guide comes with it.
- Some apps (UHF, IPTVX) can import a playlist you already added on iPhone.

The Apple TV 4K with Ethernet (the 128 GB model) is worth the difference for IPTV. On Wi-Fi only, keep it close to the router or on a mesh node.
