"Xtream Codes" was originally the name of a server panel. Today it describes a standard way for players to log in to an IPTV service using three details: server URL, username and password. Almost every modern player supports it.
The three details
| Field | Looks like | Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Server URL | http://server.example:8080 | Include http:// and the port if shown |
| Username | letters and numbers | Case-sensitive |
| Password | letters and numbers | Case-sensitive, no spaces |
Why players prefer it
- Channels, groups and the TV guide come from one login.
- The app requests only what it needs, so large lists load faster.
- Changes on the server appear automatically.
Where to find it
In your Viking IPTV welcome email, next to the M3U link. If you only have an M3U link, the server, username and password are inside it (the parts after "get.php?username=" and "password=").
Security
Your Xtream login gives access to your account. Do not share it, and do not enter it into apps you do not trust.
