If the guide says a match starts at 8 pm but it kicks off at 9 pm, the guide's time zone and your device's do not agree.
Fix it in this order
- Device time zone: set it to automatic, or select your city. On Firestick: Settings, Preferences, Time zone.
- Player EPG offset: set to 0 first, then adjust only if still wrong.
| Player | Where to set the offset |
|---|---|
| TiviMate | Settings, EPG, EPG time shift (or per playlist) |
| IPTV Smarters | Settings, Time format / EPG time shift |
| IBO Player | App settings, EPG time offset |
| MAG box | Settings, System settings, Time zone |
Daylight saving
Clocks change in spring and autumn. If the guide is right most of the year and wrong for a few weeks, the device time zone is set to a fixed offset (for example "GMT+1") instead of a city. Choose the city.
Channels from another country
Guide data for foreign channels is usually in that country's time, converted by the player. If one country's channels are always off, adjust that playlist or group's offset where the app allows.
