When the picture plays but there is no sound, it is almost always an audio format or settings mismatch between the stream, the player and your TV or soundbar.
Checklist
- Select the audio track: some channels carry several tracks (languages, Dolby). Open the player's audio menu and pick another.
- Turn off passthrough (sometimes called "audio bitstream") in the player or device. Passthrough sends Dolby audio to a soundbar that may not support it.
- Set device audio to stereo or PCM temporarily to test.
- Switch player engine: VLC-based engines decode more formats.
- Check the TV or soundbar input is set to the right source and not muted.
