IPTV Smarters Pro: setup on every device

A simple, widely supported player, and how to get it running.

Viking IPTV Editorial Team · 3 min read

IPTV Smarters Pro is probably the best-known IPTV player. Its strength is simplicity and reach: it runs on Android, Fire TV, iPhone (as Smarters Player Lite), Windows, Mac and some smart TVs, with the same menus everywhere.

Where to get it

DeviceSource
Android phone or TVGoogle Play
Fire TVAppstore where available, otherwise the official website via Downloader
iPhone, iPad, Apple TVApp Store (Smarters Player Lite)
Windows, MacOfficial Smarters website
Samsung, LGTV app store, depending on country

  1. Open the app and pick Login with Xtream Codes API.
  2. Any name, then server URL, username and password from your Viking IPTV email.
  3. Tap Add user. The app downloads channels and guide.

The home screen

Smarters splits content into Live TV, the guide, and a few extras. Live TV is where you will spend your time; use the search and favourites (heart icon). The Install EPG button refreshes the guide if it looks empty.

Common messages

  • Invalid username or password: check spaces and capital letters; paste rather than type.
  • Unable to connect: the server address needs http:// and sometimes a port.
  • Playback error on one channel: in Settings, Player selection, switch between the built-in and VLC player.
