Hisense and TCL sell the same TV sizes with different operating systems depending on country and price. The IPTV method depends entirely on which one you have.
Identify your system
| You see on start-up | System | IPTV method |
|---|---|---|
| Google TV or Android TV logo | Google TV / Android TV | Google Play: TiviMate, Smarters |
| Fire TV home screen | Fire TV | Downloader + player, like a Firestick |
| Roku home screen | Roku TV | Add a streaming stick |
| VIDAA logo (Hisense) | VIDAA | VIDAA store apps, or add a stick |
Google TV models
Follow the Android TV guide. These are the easiest.
Fire TV models
Same as a Fire TV Stick: unlock developer options, install Downloader, install your player. See the Firestick walkthrough.
VIDAA (Hisense)
VIDAA has its own store with a limited choice. Look for IPTV players there; availability varies by country. If you do not find a good one, a Fire TV or Google TV stick in an HDMI port is the reliable route.
Roku models
Roku does not carry full IPTV players; add a stick. See IPTV on Roku.
On budget TVs, Wi-Fi is the weak point. If a channel buffers on the TV but not on your phone, use Ethernet or a stick with better Wi-Fi.
Questions and answers
How do I know which system my Hisense TV runs?

On TCL Google TV and Android TV models, yes. On Roku models, no.
