IPTV brands are copied constantly. A popular name appears again with "official", "store", "4K" or a different ending added; an expired domain is bought by someone else who keeps the old name on a new site. During our check, 4 of 96 provider sites had died or been taken over, and several brand names existed twice under different owners.
Common look-alike tricks
| Trick | Example pattern |
|---|---|
| Extra word in the name | brand + official, store, shop, 4K, hd |
| Different ending | .com becomes .co, .store, .shop, .net |
| Subdomain on another site | brand.some-other-domain.com |
| Expired domain reused | the old address now shows a different store or unrelated content |
| Copied design and text | same headings and prices, different contact details |
How to spot a copy
- The domain differs from the one in your welcome email or in a list you trust.
- The contact channel changed: a new WhatsApp number or Telegram handle you have never seen.
- Prices or plan lengths do not match what the brand sold before.
- Pressure to pay by gift card or crypto, or to pay a person directly.
- The site appeared in an ad or a message rather than from your own bookmark.
Renew from your own records
Most people meet a copycat when renewing, months after the first purchase, by searching the brand name again. Avoid that by bookmarking the exact domain and keeping your welcome email. Our similar-name stores category groups brands that exist under more than one owner.
If you paid a copycat
- Contact your card provider and explain the payment went to a site posing as another brand.
- Keep screenshots of the site, the address and any messages.
- Change any password you reused on that site.
- Buy again only from the domain you have confirmed.
