How to check an IPTV provider before you buy

Twelve checks, drawn from what we saw on 96 provider websites.

Viking IPTV Editorial Team · 3 min read

When we opened 96 IPTV provider websites for our directory, 4 were already dead, expired or taken over by unrelated owners. Most of the rest looked convincing at first glance. These twelve checks are the ones that actually separated stores worth testing from stores worth avoiding.

Checks on the website itself

  1. Type the address yourself. Ads and search results for IPTV are full of look-alike domains. Compare the domain letter by letter with the one in a list you trust.
  2. Check it loads properly. A storefront with broken images, placeholder text or a checkout that errors is often abandoned.
  3. Compare the price ladder. 67 of the 92 live stores in our directory list exactly the same prices. Identical ladders are normal; wildly cheaper "lifetime" offers are not.
  4. Look for a shared template. Our checker found one storefront design used by 38 different store names. A shared template is not proof of a problem, but it means the brand name alone tells you little; see why many IPTV stores look the same.

Checks on contact and support

  1. Find a real contact channel. In our directory, 13 stores show Telegram and 10 show WhatsApp; many show only a contact form.
  2. Ask a question before paying. Ask whether three channels you care about are included. Time the reply.
  3. Judge the answer, not just the speed. A specific yes or no beats a copy-pasted "we have everything".
  4. Check the refund wording. Most stores mention a refund or money-back policy; read what it actually covers before relying on it.

Checks on the offer

  1. Plan lengths: 67 of 92 stores sell a 24 month plan. Longer plans only save money if the store is still running.
  2. Screens: 67 stores sell 1, 2 and 3 device versions. Make sure the plan matches how many screens watch at once.
  3. Apps named: stores that name the apps they support (67 in our directory) make setup easier.
  4. Payment: prefer a card checkout with a receipt over gift cards or transfers to a person.

A simple way to score a store

Give one point per check passed. Eleven or twelve: test it with one month. Eight to ten: test only after support answers well. Under eight: move on; there are plenty of alternatives in the provider directory.

Then test, do not trust

No list of checks replaces a month of real use. Buy the shortest plan, watch at your usual times including one big live event, and only then commit to a longer plan. Our buying strategy covers the test week in detail.
