# IPTV login failed: how to fix it

The login screen is where most new setups get stuck. Check these in order.

## 1. The server address

Wrong | Right |

https:// when the server uses http:// | match the email exactly | 

Copy the address from your welcome email instead of typing it on a remote. Use the Fire TV app on your phone or a USB keyboard for long addresses.

## 2. Username and password

- They are case-sensitive.
- Watch for a space copied at the end.
- Letters like O and 0, l and I look alike on TVs.

## 3. The account

- Has the plan expired? Check your order email.
- Was the password changed after a renewal?

## 4. The app

- Try the same login in another app (VLC with the [M3U link](https://blog.vikingiptvofficial.com/m3u-playlist-explained/) is a quick test).
- If it works elsewhere, clear the first app's data and log in again.

## 5. The network

**Why does my IPTV say invalid username or password?**

Usually a typo, case difference or trailing space. Paste the details from your email.

**Do I need the port number in the server address?**

If your welcome email shows one, yes. Include it after a colon.

**My login works in one app but not another. Why?**

The second app may need a slightly different address format, or its data is corrupt. Clear it and retry.
